Iscaguard CIB is a blend of methyl and methylchloro-isothiazolinone in water, glycols and benzyl alcohol. The incorporation of 60 % organic compounds improves the compatibility with oil rich products, and increases the preservative efficacy by reducing the interfacial tension at the cell membrane of micro-organisms. The thiazolinone compounds are present at 0.7 % in a ratio of 3:1, which offers broad spectrum activity in even the most difficult to preserve cosmetics.
